Donald Bubar is President and CEO of Avalon Advanced Materials Inc. a Canadian mineral development company specializing in sustainably-produced materials for clean technology. As Avalon’s President & CEO, Mr. Bubar has been a leader in attempting to develop critical minerals supply chains in Canada for 25 years now including rare earths, zirconium, lithium, tantalum, cesium, tin and indium. He is also an advocate for sustainable development of cleantech materials supply chains using ESG principles, including the opportunities to recover critical minerals from historic mine wastes on closed mine sites such as East Kemptville. A professional geologist, Mr. Bubar is a graduate of McGill University (B.Sc., 1977) and Queen’s University (M.Sc., 1981) and has worked in the mineral exploration industry in Canada for over 45 years.
