Tim McGuire

Mr. McGuire has 25 years of experience in international finance, with a focus on corporate debt, project finance, M&A, trade finance and insurance. He is currently Executive Vice President of China Construction Bank (CCB) in Toronto, where he is responsible for leading business activities and providing strategic advice to clients. He has prior experience with Export Development Canada and HSBC Bank Canada, where he led global business development activities in mining, energy, and financial institutions, financing some of the world’s largest and complex projects. Mr. McGuire has extensive knowledge and risk analysis of political and Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”). Mr. McGuire is currently a Director of the Canada China Business Council and Young Presidents Organization – Toronto Chapter. Mr. McGuire graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business (with Distinction), which included an exchange to Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. Mr. McGuire has also taken Executive Education courses at Columbia University and Harvard University.
